General Manager
Job Description
As General Manager, you will manage all operations within a specific division or business unit of the company. You will be responsible for managing the following departments / activities of the Europe office on the areas of sales, marketing, finance, accounting, taxing, HR, office maintenance, cleaning and safety, IT support, Legal, warehouse, distribution and sales/support.
The General Manager supervises the work of independent sales agents, REPs, office staff and third party accounting and legal service renders
As General Manager, you will have P&L bottom line accountability and will act as the division head to company headquarters.
Responsibilities
- Analyze the sales potential of each country in the Euro Zone
- Propose and implement the Europe Sales and Marketing plan
- Select, set sales targets to and overview the performance of Sales Reps
- Propose the annual Sales Budget - and monthly reviews – by: country, brand and category (Swimsuits, Cover ups, RTW (ready to wear) and accessories)
- Manage inventory level and place the PO's to Corporate Office
- Handle the logistics and after sales activities: clear customs, transportation, order shipping and sales cancels and returns
- Invoicing customers in Europe and Middle East
- According to corporate policies evaluate current and potential customers credit analysis
- Manage to due and past due collections
- According to corporate policies manage bank accounts and make all the office daily payments, such as: rental, office suppliers, corporate and labor taxes, telephony, internet access, etc.
- Interact with third party accounting and legal firms
- Hire and manage office staff
- Check and approve the outside processed payroll and provide company funds to make the payment
- Reporting monthly sales and office expenses
- Reporting monthly P&L, balance sheet and cash-flow statements
- Implement and enforce the compliance of corporate rules and procedures
Job Requirements
- Requires in-depth knowledge of swimwear and RTW industry, as well as knowledge of local distribution channels.
- At least 10 years of experience in Sales and Distribution and at least 5 years as an office General Manager
- Availability to travel often
- Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities
- Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills
- Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving
Required Education
Master Degree in Business is mandatory, MBA is a plus

French and English are required, any other language a valuable asset
