Exceed Search is conducting an exclusive search for an experienced Investment Manager on behalf of a confidential family office based in Dublin. This family office has a dedicated focus on impact investing, with a strong emphasis on sustainability, renewable energy, climate action, and social impact ventures.

The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in managing and growing a diversified portfolio, aligning investments with the family’s mission to drive positive environmental and social change. This role requires a passionate, forward-thinking professional with deep expertise in impact investing and the ability to navigate multiple asset classes, including public and private equities, venture capital, and real assets.

Responsibilities

  • Portfolio Management: Oversee the family office’s diversified impact investment portfolio, which includes renewable energy, climate technology, sustainable agriculture, and other socially responsible investments.
  • Investment Strategy: Develop and implement tailored investment strategies that align with the family’s impact-focused goals, financial objectives, and risk tolerance.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth research on emerging trends in energy, climate, sustainability, and social impact sectors to identify new investment opportunities.
  • Due Diligence: Lead comprehensive due diligence processes for potential investments, including financial modeling, risk assessment, ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) analysis, and alignment with the family's values.
  • Performance Monitoring: Regularly monitor the performance of investments, analyzing financial results, social/environmental impact metrics, and market developments to make informed recommendations for adjustments.
  • Deal Sourcing: Identify and evaluate potential investment opportunities in the impact investing space, building relationships with entrepreneurs, venture capital firms, and other key stakeholders.
  • Reporting: Prepare detailed investment reports, including both financial performance and impact metrics, for presentation to the family and senior leadership.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the family, advisors, and external consultants to ensure the investment strategy is consistent with the family’s mission and values.
  • Risk Management: Evaluate and manage investment risks, ensuring diversification and alignment with the family office's long-term goals and impact focus.
  • Impact Measurement: Implement frameworks to measure and report the social and environmental impact of investments, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Job Requirements

  • Experience: A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in investment management, impact investing, venture capital, private equity, or related fields, with a strong track record in energy, climate, or sustainability-focused investments.
  • Impact Investing Expertise: Demonstrated expertise in impact investing, particularly in areas such as renewable energy, climate technology, sustainable agriculture, social enterprises, or ESG-focused assets.
  • Financial Acumen: Proficient in financial analysis, portfolio management, risk assessment, and performance monitoring.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to assess market trends, conduct due diligence, and perform detailed financial modeling.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and implement long-term investment strategies aligned with both financial returns and measurable social/environmental impact.
  • Relationship Building: Proven experience in building and maintaining relationships with industry stakeholders, including entrepreneurs, investors, and venture partners.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex investment strategies and impact metrics to the family and stakeholders.
  • Required Education

    Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field. A Master’s degree (MBA, MSc in Finance) or CFA designation is highly preferred. Additional qualifications or certifications in sustainable finance, ESG, or impact investing are a plus.
