We are seeking a dynamic and entrepreneurial Junior Partner to join an established EU-wide Venture Capital (VC) firm, based in Dublin, Ireland. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the European tech and startup ecosystem and a passion for investing in innovative, high-growth companies. As Junior Partner, you will play a critical role in sourcing, evaluating, and managing investment opportunities, working closely with portfolio companies to provide strategic guidance and drive value creation. Responsibilities

  • Deal Sourcing: Identify, evaluate, and engage with high-potential startups and entrepreneurs across Europe, building strong deal flow pipelines.
  • Due Diligence: Conduct in-depth market research, financial analysis, and risk assessments to support investment decisions.
  • Portfolio Management: Provide strategic and operational support to portfolio companies, helping them scale and meet their business objectives.
  • Investor Relations: Build and maintain relationships with co-investors, limited partners (LPs), and other stakeholders in the investment ecosystem.
  • Networking & Thought Leadership: Attend industry events, conferences, and forums to represent the firm, grow networks, and stay informed on market trends and innovations.
  • Fundraising Support: Collaborate with the senior team in fundraising activities, pitch decks, and investor meetings when required.
  • Strategic Insight: Support the Senior Partners in shaping the investment strategy for the firm and identifying new growth opportunities.
  • Job Requirements

    • Experience:
      • 5+ years of experience in venture capital, private equity, or related fields (consulting, corporate finance, or startup environment).
      • Proven experience in deal sourcing, financial modeling, and portfolio management.
      • Strong knowledge of the European tech ecosystem and early-stage investment trends.
    • Entrepreneurial Spirit: Passion for startups, innovation, and supporting entrepreneurs in scaling their ventures.
    • Analytical Skills: Excellent financial acumen and the ability to perform comprehensive due diligence.
    • Communication: Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage with founders and senior stakeholders alike.
    • Networking: Ability to build and nurture relationships across the investment ecosystem and entrepreneurial community.
    • Self-Starter: High degree of initiative and the ability to work independently within a collaborative team environment.

    Required Education

    Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field is required. MBA or advanced degree is a plus but not essential.

    Languages

    Fluent in English (written and spoken). Proficiency in additional European languages is highly desirable.
