Chief People Officer
Job Description
The Chief People Officer (CPO) will serve as the executive leader responsible for shaping and advancing the organization’s people strategy, culture, and talent agenda. This role will oversee the full employee lifecycle, from talent acquisition and leadership development to engagement, performance, and organizational effectiveness.
Working closely with the CEO and senior leadership team, the CPO will ensure that the company’s people practices support its strategic ambitions, foster a strong and inclusive culture, and enable teams to perform at their highest potential. The role requires a collaborative and forward-thinking leader who can balance strategic vision with operational excellence in a dynamic and evolving environment.
Based in Paris, the CPO will guide the development of scalable people programs while ensuring alignment with European regulatory frameworks and best practices.
Responsibilities
Lead the development and execution of the company’s overall people and culture strategy
Advise the executive leadership team on organizational design, workforce planning, and leadership capability
Oversee all core HR functions, including talent acquisition, employee relations, learning and development, and compensation and benefits
Build programs that strengthen employee engagement, inclusion, and organizational culture
Support leadership teams in developing high-performing and resilient teams
Guide succession planning and leadership pipeline development across the organization
Ensure HR policies and practices align with relevant labour laws and regulatory requirements
Drive initiatives that enhance employee experience and support long-term talent retention
Utilize HR data and analytics to inform strategic workforce decisions
Represent the people function in leadership discussions and strategic planning initiatives
Job Requirements
Required Education
Significant experience in senior human resources or people leadership roles Strong background in building and scaling people strategies within growing or evolving organizations Experience advising senior leaders on organizational change, culture, and talent development Solid understanding of HR practices and employment frameworks within Europe, particularly France Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills Strategic mindset with the ability to translate vision into practical initiatives Comfortable operating in complex, fast-paced business environments
Languages
Fluency in English required. Professional fluency in French strongly preferred; additional European languages are a plus.
