Unite is hiring on behalf of a Monaco-based family office, an experienced and strategic Chief Investment Officer (CIO) to lead its global investment activities. The CIO will beresponsible for developing and implementing investment strategies across assetclasses, ensuring long-term capital preservation and growth in line with thefamily’s objectives.

This senior role is based in Monaco, with some flexibility for remote work and travel as required. The CIO will report directly to the principals and work closely with internal staff, external managers, and advisors.

Responsibilities

- Define and implement a comprehensive investment strategy aligned with long-term goals, risk profile, and liquidity requirements.

- Oversee portfolio allocation across multiple asset classes, including public markets, private equity, real estate, hedge funds, venture capital, and alternatives.

- Source, evaluate, and monitor investment managers, funds, and direct opportunities.

- Lead due diligence, performance reviews, and ongoing risk management processes.

- Provide regular investment reporting and strategic updates to the principals.

- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and support tax and reporting requirements.

- Coordinate with legal, tax, and estate planning advisors to align investments with broader wealth planning structures.

- Monitor global market and macroeconomic trends to anticipate risks and opportunities.

- Represent the family office in meetings with discretion and professionalism.

Job Requirements

- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in investment management, private banking, asset management, or within a family office.

- Strong track record in multi-asset portfolio management with disciplined risk management.

- Broad knowledge of global markets, traditional and alternative investments, and macroeconomic drivers.

- Previous experience working with or advising ultra-high-net-worth individuals or families.

- Strong analytical, communication, and relationship management skills.

- High level of integrity, discretion, and ability to handle confidential information.

- Willingness to travel regularly within Europe and internationally.

Required Education

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field (required). Advanced qualifications such as MBA or CFA (preferred).

Languages

English fluency required. French strongly preferred, with other European languages (e.g., Italian, German, Russian) considered an asset.
