The Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) is a senior executive responsible for leading and overseeing all revenue-generating activities across the organization. This includes developing and executing strategies related to business development, client acquisition, partnerships, and overall commercial growth.

The CRO will work closely with the CEO and executive leadership team to define and implement scalable revenue strategies that support the organization’s long-term objectives. The role requires a highly strategic and results-driven leader with the ability to build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, manage complex sales cycles, and drive sustained revenue growth in a competitive environment.

Based in Munich, the CRO will play a key role in expanding the company’s presence across the DACH region and broader European markets.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the organization’s overall revenue and growth strategy
  • Lead and scale business development, sales, and partnership initiatives across key markets
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior decision-makers, clients, and strategic partners
  • Identify and pursue new market opportunities, partnerships, and revenue streams
  • Build and manage a robust pipeline of commercial opportunities and accurately forecast revenue performance
  • Achieve and exceed annual and multi-year revenue targets
  • Work closely with marketing, product, and operational teams to align go-to-market strategies
  • Oversee revenue reporting, forecasting, and performance tracking with the executive leadership team
  • Represent the organization in high-level client engagements, negotiations, and industry events
  • Support the development and launch of new products, services, or market initiatives
  • Build, mentor, and lead high-performing commercial teams as the organization grows
  • Job Requirements

  • Proven track record in senior revenue, sales, business development, or commercial leadership roles
  • Demonstrated history of achieving and exceeding revenue growth targets in complex or competitive markets
  • Experience managing high-value client relationships and multi-stakeholder decision processes
  • Ability to originate, structure, and close large commercial opportunities or strategic partnerships
  • Strong strategic thinking combined with disciplined execution and forecasting capabilities
  • Experience operating at an executive level in fast-growing or entrepreneurial organizations
  • Established professional network within the European business ecosystem; experience in the DACH region is strongly preferred
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and executive presentation skills
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and comfortable operating with autonomy and accountability
  • Required Education

    Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field required. MBA or other advanced degree is considered an advantage.

    Languages

    Fluency in English required. Professional fluency in German strongly preferred; additional European languages are a plus.
