We are seeking an experienced Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) to join a leading European software company based in Geneva. As CHRO, you will be a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for shaping and driving the company's people strategy. You will lead the HR function, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic goals, fostering a high-performance culture, and supporting business growth across multiple regions. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in human resources leadership, particularly within the tech or software industry, and will be adept at managing HR functions in diverse international markets.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic HR Leadership:
    • Develop and execute the company’s global HR strategy, aligned with business objectives and growth plans.
    • Lead initiatives related to talent acquisition, retention, and development to ensure the company attracts and retains top talent.
  • Culture & Employee Engagement:
    • Foster a culture of innovation, inclusion, and high performance, ensuring that the company's values are reflected across all levels of the organization.
    • Implement programs to enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and well-being.
  • Talent Development & Succession Planning:
    • Oversee talent management, leadership development, and succession planning to build a pipeline of future leaders.
    • Partner with senior leadership to identify and develop key talent.
  • Compensation & Benefits:
    • Design and manage competitive compensation and benefits programs to attract and retain top talent.
    • Ensure the company's compensation practices are aligned with market trends and regulatory requirements.
  • Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI):
    • Drive DEI initiatives to promote a diverse and inclusive workplace.
    • Develop policies and programs that support diversity goals and enhance company culture.
  • Compliance & HR Operations:
    • Ensure HR policies, procedures, and practices comply with local, regional, and international employment laws.
    • Oversee global HR operations, including employee relations, performance management, and HRIS systems.
  • Collaboration with Leadership:
    • Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO and executive team on all people-related matters.
    • Work closely with the finance and legal departments to manage organizational change and restructuring when necessary.

Job Requirements

Experience:

  • Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive HR leadership experience, with at least 5 years at an executive level.
  • Strong background in the software, technology, or related industries, with experience managing HR in international markets.
  • Proven track record in leading strategic HR initiatives, including talent acquisition, leadership development, compensation, and employee engagement.
  • Skills & Expertise:
    • Deep understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulatory requirements across Europe.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels.
    • Demonstrated success in driving culture change, fostering diversity, and leading teams in a dynamic and growing environment.
  • Required Education

    Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required. Master’s degree or relevant advanced certifications (e.g., SHRM, CIPD) are preferred.

    Languages

    English: Fluency is required. French or German: Proficiency in either French or German is highly desirable.
