We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Investment Manager to oversee and manage the diverse investment portfolio of a private family office. The role is fully remote but requires the candidate to be based in Europe and willing to travel frequently for meetings with the family and their advisors. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing large, complex investment portfolios and will be responsible for providing strategic advice, identifying investment opportunities, and ensuring optimal portfolio performance.

Responsibilities

  • Portfolio Management: Oversee and manage the family’s multi-asset portfolio, including equities, fixed income, real estate, private equity, and alternative investments.
  • Investment Strategy: Develop, execute, and monitor investment strategies aligned with the family’s financial goals, risk tolerance, and long-term objectives.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities across global markets.
  • Due Diligence: Evaluate potential investment opportunities through rigorous due diligence, including assessing risks, financial models, and growth potential.
  • Reporting: Prepare detailed performance reports and regular updates for the family, including portfolio performance, market insights, and strategic recommendations.
  • Advisor Coordination: Collaborate with external advisors, fund managers, legal counsel, and tax consultants to optimize investment structures and strategies.
  • Travel for Meetings: Accompany the family to meetings with investment partners, advisors, and stakeholders across Europe and globally.
  • Risk Management: Monitor portfolio risks and implement measures to mitigate them, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and the family’s preferences.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in managing large, diverse investment portfolios, preferably within family offices, asset management firms, or private banking.
  • Exceptional knowledge of global financial markets, investment instruments, and alternative investments.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute successful investment strategies and adapt them to changing market conditions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to perform detailed financial modeling and risk assessments.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience reporting to high-net-worth individuals or families.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting while maintaining regular communication with the family and key stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel extensively for meetings across Europe and globally.

Required Education

A Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. A CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) designation is highly preferred.

Languages

Fluency in English is mandatory. Proficiency in additional languages (e.g., French, German, Spanish, or Italian) is highly desirable and will be considered an advantage.
