Senior Pre-sales engineer - Italy
Job Description
This role requires daily interaction with customers, business partners, and internal teams. Working closely with Sales, you will support customers throughout their journey from discovery and qualification through to post-sales handover. You will manage customer cases within a helpdesk system, using it to delegate tasks, collaborate with peers, and support the progression of sales opportunities toward closure.
The position involves regular travel. A strong desire to learn, combined with a proactive, hands-on attitude, is essential. You will join an experienced and motivated team that values collaboration and knowledge sharing to help you grow your skill set and succeed.
The primary focus of this role is engagement with large enterprise and upper mid-market (corporate) customers and prospects in Italy. These include strategic accounts across industries such as Healthcare, Government, Finance, Manufacturing, and Retail, where complex environments require customized, scalable end-user computing (EUC) solutions.

Technical Skills:
- Minimum of 6+ years of experience in a Presales Engineer or similar technical customer-facing role.
- Working knowledge of Linux operating systems.
- Experience with endpoint operating systems, management platforms, and secure access gateways (experience with thin client or EUC solutions is a plus).
- Working knowledge of Windows operating systems.
- Experience with Remote Desktop Services, Azure Virtual Desktop, AWS, Citrix, and VMware Horizon environments.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, and related technologies.
- Familiarity with solutions delivered through a technology partner ecosystem.
Required Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field is required, or equivalent practical experience. Master’s degree in a technical or business-related discipline is a strong plus. Relevant technical certifications and ongoing professional development in end-user computing, cloud platforms, or enterprise IT technologies are highly valued.
Languages
Fluency in English is mandatory for communication with international teams, customers, and partners. Fluency in Italian is mandatory for local customer and partner engagement. Proficiency in any additional European language is considered a strong advantage.
