A growing international company is seeking a Senior Account Manager to sell a distinct range of geo-content and web services to Local Government, Telco and Utility companies in Germany. The Senior Account Manager will be responsible for acquiring new clients and following up on leads generated through marketing initiatives.

The successful candidate should demonstrate a keen eye for business opportunities and possess the ability to effectively promote and sell products to potential customers both within and outside their professional network. With a drive for success, strong sales skills, and experience in the IT and/or geospatial field, the Senior Account Manager will oversee the entire sales cycle, from prospecting to finalizing orders.

Responsibilities

  • Leading engagements and opportunities in digital transformation within the Local Government, Utilities and Telco Vertical as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert.
  • Developing and executing client-specific account plans aligned with annual targets to identify priorities and establish quarterly objectives.
  • Meeting quarterly sales targets by selling products and solutions within the designated target market and focus area.
  • Establishing and nurturing formal and informal networks, maintaining client relationships, and providing ongoing support to understand their business needs and objectives. This includes maximizing the value of purchased licenses, offering valuable consultation, and identifying opportunities.
  • Collaborating closely with clients to develop digital transformation programs, leveraging renewals, cross-selling, and upselling of licenses and solutions.
  • Creating contracts within the company's legal guidelines and pricing policies, as well as managing invoicing.
  • Demonstrating a deep understanding of clients' specific businesses, challenges, and workflows to provide consultation on digital transformation.
  • Providing feedback from clients and market insights to partners, sales teams, business development, and product teams to drive learning and improvement in industry solutions and digital transformation.

Job Requirements

•6-10 years of sales experience

•Effectively builds formal and informal relationships networks inside and outside the organization. Has, or is able to, create a wide network to learn early about industry developments and attain significant influence.

•Self-starter, goal & result-oriented, with high energy, and  the ability to close deals

•Very good communication skills, both spoken and written

•Understanding of customer processes and business workflows is a must

•Willingness to work in a dynamic start-up environment is essential

•Experience with selling to Local Government and knowledge of tender processes is a plus

•Technical background, preferably in a geospatial environment such as GPS, GIS, mapping, surveying, geodesy or navigation is a plus

Required Education

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required

Languages

Native German and professional level English
