Our client is a leading cybersecurity company providing advanced solutions that help public sector organizations strengthen their security posture, protect critical infrastructure, and ensure compliance with evolving regulatory requirements.

They are seeking an experienced Enterprise Sales Manager to drive business growth across the German public sector market. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, building relationships with key stakeholders, and managing complex sales cycles with government agencies, municipalities, public institutions, and related organizations throughout Germany.

This is a strategic, quota-carrying role that requires a strong understanding of enterprise software sales, cybersecurity solutions, and public sector procurement processes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a sales strategy focused on public sector accounts across Germany.
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities within federal, state, and local government organizations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, procurement teams, IT leaders, and executive stakeholders.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and opportunity creation through negotiation and contract closure.
  • Drive revenue growth and achieve or exceed annual sales targets.
  • Collaborate with pre-sales, technical, marketing, and customer success teams to deliver tailored solutions.
  • Lead responses to public tenders, RFPs, and procurement processes.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline management through CRM systems.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive activity, cybersecurity developments, and public sector initiatives.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and customer meetings throughout Germany.
  • Job Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of successful enterprise software or cybersecurity sales experience.
  • Proven track record of selling into public sector organizations in Germany.
  • Strong understanding of German public procurement and tendering processes.
  • Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles with deal values in the enterprise segment.
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently meet or exceed sales quotas.
  • Strong network within government agencies, public institutions, or regulated industries is highly desirable.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently.
  • Willingness to travel throughout Germany as required.
  • Required Education

    Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field. Master's degree or MBA is considered an advantage.

    Languages

    Native or fluent German & English (C2 level preferred). Additional European languages are considered a plus.
